Description

Titanium tube coils are commonly used in heat exchangers that require excellent corrosion resistance and high thermal conductivity. The coils are made from long, continuous titanium tubing wound into a spiral or helical shape to form the coil body.

Manufactured in accordance with ASTM B338 / ASME SB-338, titanium tube coils are extensively applied in the fabrication of tubular heat exchangers — including double-pipe, shell-and-tube, and coiled-tube designs. Among these, the coiled-tube heat exchanger is currently the most widely used in petrochemical production due to its compact design and superior heat transfer performance.

1. Titanium Tubing
   The core element of the coil, made from high-purity titanium for exceptional corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and heat transfer performance.

2. Header
   Distributes and collects fluids entering and exiting the coil. Commonly fabricated from stainless steel or titanium to resist pressure and corrosion.

3. Tube Sheet
   Provides mechanical support and sealing between tubes and headers. Usually made from stainless steel or titanium for durability.

4. Baffles
   Guide the fluid flow within the shell side to increase turbulence and enhance heat transfer efficiency.

5. Support Structure
   Maintains the coil’s position, preventing vibration or movement during operation. Constructed from steel or aluminiu,m depending on design requirements.

6. Fittings and Connections
   Connect the coil to headers and piping systems. Made from stainless steel or titanium to ensure reliable, corrosion-resistant connections.
